OMP’s history in motorsport now includes a new milestone after taking the title in the NASCAR Cup Series, the pinnacle of stock car racing. Equipped with our racewear products, Team Penske’s driver Joey Logano captured the 2024 championship in the final race at Phoenix Raceway. It was a dream ending for the first year of partnership with America’s most successful racing stable.
In its own business, OMP was the only player to dress two of the four contenders remaining in contention until the end for the NASCAR Cup Series honors, which through the Playoffs system is always awarded at the last round. This fact further underscores the supremacy demonstrated on the track by Team Penske , especially in the second half of the year.
Logano’s title is the culmination of a memorable opening campaign as Team Penske’s exclusive partner in supplying fireproof racewear. Between NASCAR Cup Series and NTT INDYCAR SERIES, in fact, 16 victories were already sealed.
In NASCAR, Team Penske’s maiden success together with OMP came in the NASCAR All-Star Race, thanks to Logano. Seven more races were then won, credit also to Austin Cindric and 2023 champion Ryan Blaney.
The season finale on the Phoenix Raceway oval was an apotheosis. Logano clinched the title and the race, conducted almost all the way to the front after starting second and immediately taking the lead. Finishing just behind him, after a stunning comeback, was teammate Blaney.
“The NASCAR Cup Series championship was one of the gems still missing from our trophies collection, and we were able to achieve it on the first attempt together with Team Penske. This is the victory of the women and men of OMP, of Racing Force as a whole, who over the years have been able to transform this brand into a worldwide excellence,” said Paolo Delprato, Chairman and CEO of Racing Force Group. “We could not imagine a sweeter ending to this season in the United States.”
Logano and Blaney also wear Bell Racing Helmets, a brand that along with OMP is part of Racing Force, making the accomplishment even more significant for the entire company.
Now the focus is already on 2025. OMP will still be at the side of Team Penske and its drivers to confirm NASCAR’s No. 1 status, starting with the legendary Daytona 500.
